Distinctly Montana Magazine

Distinctly Montana Magazine has been sold by founder Michael Blevins to Bill Muhlenfeld and Anthea George of Bozeman, Montana, according to John Cribb, Cribb, Greene & Associates, who represented the seller in the transaction.

Distinctly Montana Magazine is a high quality glossy product published quarterly and distributed throughout Montana and most of the nation. The magazine, founded in 2001, is a resource guide for all things Montana and includes local features, literary pieces, and high quality art and photography.  Included in the sale is the magazine website at distinctlymontana.com.

According to Anthea George, "Distinctly Montana is a quality publication with a great concept and a focused mission. We look forward as new owners to bringing the best of Montana to residents and visitors alike."

Cribb, Greene & Associates is an eighty-seven year old publishing company merger and acquisition firm with offices in Bozeman, Montana and Charlottesville, Virginia.

Bluffton, SC

June 27, 2006

The City Sun has a new owner, according to Gary Greene, of Cribb, Greene & Associates, who represented the seller in the transaction. No financial terms were disclosed.

Bernard "B.J." Frazier, former New England newspaper publisher, has acquired The City Sun newspaper based in Bluffton, S.C., from Kazoo Publishing Co. Frazier is president of Coastal Fun Info LLC, which also publishes Best Savannah Restaurants magazine in Georgia.

"I am truly excited to become a part of such a highly regarded, quality community newspaper in a region experiencing such rapid growth," Frazier said.

The eight-year old, award-winning community newspaper is circulated monthly to more than 18,000 greater Bluffton homes and businesses through the U.S. Mail.

The former owners, Judy and Wayne Wehunt, built the newspaper during the past four years from a 16-page, black-and-white tabloid to a three section, full color publication.

"We're proud of the service we've provided to the community, our readers and our advertisers," Judy Wehunt said. "We've entrusted Mr. Frazier to continue our work in the community."

The Southeastern Advertisers and Publishers Association recognized The City Sun in 2003 as the Most Improved free publication in the southeast. SAPA also awarded The City Sun its General Excellence award in 2004 and 2005 as the best monthly publication in 11 states.

Cribb, Greene & Associates of Charlottesville, Va., represented the Wehunts in the sale.
